You'll drown in hyperbole trying to avoid the word "bohemian," so let's just say Lise is a unique soul. A glamorous and statuesque hottie, Lise's girlish giggle typically precedes her into most any room. Her subsequent attempts to become invisible seem borrowed heavily from the sitcom Dharma & Greg—as Lise herself is quite Jenna Eflman-like in her peacenik's Haight-Ashbury optimism. The child of colorful characters themselves, Lise's background reads like Woodstock liner notes. Boisterous and at times gregarious, she is likely painfully shy and suffers just the slightest inferiority complex. A volatile cocktail that, once stirred, informs art in its truest sense: often just out of step with the world she documents through her lens. If you must go bowling, if you indulge in so pedestrian a non-sport, Lise Hunt is the person you'd want along with you; Spanky and the rascals at the boxcar derby. Conversely, seeing her, hair-up, poured into the expensive little black dress and working the floor of some country club function, is jolting, a lot like driving through a car wash or staring into the sun. She's awesomely beautiful and tremendously inspiring, a chameleon who'd probably make a pretty good spy if she'd only not giggle quite so much. While Lise speaks throughout this web site, it is her art that speaks the loudest. She'd rather we didn't focus so much attention on her but on what her work says, how it speaks to us and inspires us.
If there is a moment in your world worth saving, Lise Hunt is the artist you want to record it. She is sublimely gifted, a woman of sensitivity and instinct that evolves exponentially beyond what she can predict or even explain. It is simply her eye, those special and unexpected surprises that present themselves when we least expect them.

the odd collection of chairs at inHouse, her artist/music studio. No two chairs alike,
yet they all somehow add up to an artistic statement; an inherent funkiness that
makes this Californian very Greenwich Village, a place she's never lived. A
comfy favorite: a commercial barber's chair covered in funky purple velvet.
